Gordon Carey

President, IMS Consulting Group

Gordon Carey is president, IMS Consulting Group, a position he has held since May 2011. He leads the company’s global team of consultants, who provide specialty advisory expertise based on IMS Health’s unique therapeutic insights, local market knowledge and comprehensive, global access to healthcare data.

Since joining IMS Health in 2002, Gordon has served in a number of key leadership roles, most recently responsible for Consulting’s global client strategy. Prior to that, he led IMS Health’s Pricing & Market Access practice with responsibility for Health Economics and Outcomes Research, and also was managing director of Cambridge Pharma Consultancy, a company IMS Health acquired in 2001.

Prior to that, Gordon was an associate principal at McKinsey & Company and a partner at Towers Perrin. His work on the healthcare industry has been covered extensively in various publications, most recently by The Economist, Medical Marketing & Media, Drug Benefit Trends and Pharmaceutical Executive.

Gordon holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Certificate in Education from Oxford University, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
